What’s been happening:

After 35 years working in the oil industry in Norway, England, Scotland and Russia, as well as in Michigan, Alaska, Wyoming, Louisiana and Texas, Dave retired as Senior VP of Marathon Oil Company in 2003. He has been Chairman of PetroNeft Resources, an Irish-registered oil exploration and production company with major assets in Russia, since 2005, when the company was formed. Dave and Lori (nee Lorna Savio, class of 1970) enjoy semi-retired life in Houston, near their son Jonathan, as well as a fair amount of international travel. Dave is a founding Board member of GEMS (Graduates of Earth & Mineral Sciences), the alumni society of the College of Earth & Mineral Sciences, and is active on various committees for GEMS and for the Dean's office.
